Former Blair Oaks softball pitcher Marble transfers to Missouri

COLUMBIA - Alora Marble, a former Blair Oaks Lady Falcon, will join the Missouri softball team this season.

Marble, who will be a junior, sat out the 2013 season after pitching for two years at Southeast Missouri. The No. 1 pitcher for the Redhawks during her two seasons in Cape Girardeau, she was a combined 33-23 with 36 complete games and 199 strikeouts.

As a freshman, Marble was 18-8 with a 2.99 ERA with two shutouts among her 12 complete games. Marble was 15-15 in 31 starts as a sophomore in 2012, finishing with a 2.64 ERA.

Marble was a three-time all-state selection at Blair Oaks, recording a school-record 421 strikeouts. She was 22-6 with a 0.85 ERA as a senior in helping the Lady Falcons to the state championship.
