JC couple charged with robbing man

A Jefferson City man and woman have been charged with robbing a man who had scheduled a massage from the woman Thursday afternoon in her home.

Jered Blair, 26, and Amanda Stevens, 28, both of 2427 Beasley Court, were charged Friday. Blair is charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. Stevens is charged with first-degree robbery.

According to police, the male victim told officers he was robbed at gunpoint of $1,400 in cash and a phone.

The victim said he had searched an Internet site and arranged with Stevens to meet at her home, where she would give him a back massage. He was supposed to pay her $100 for the service.

The victim said he went to the home and encountered Blair in a downstairs bedroom. The victim said Blair brandished a handgun and struck it in the victim's face.

The police report stated Stevens came in the room and removed the victim's car keys, cash and phone from his shorts.

They then forced the victim into a bathroom and made him wait there while the couple went out to the victim's vehicle and forced open the locked glove box where they took his wallet, which was inside.

The couple then came back inside and told the victim they would kill him if he told police what happened.

The victim was then given his keys and told to leave the area, so he drove away.
