Jays 14, Lebanon 11

LEBANON - It wasn't easy, but the Jays enacted some revenge Monday night.

After falling to Lebanon 11-1 earlier in the year, the Jays had a better showing the second time around with a 14-11 victory.

Dylan Brauner led the offensive charge going 5-for-5 with three runs and an RBI. Corey Beard was 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI, including a three-run homer. Sam Atkinson was 2-for-4 with two RBI while Ripken Dodson had two RBI.

The Jays allowed just four earned run as Bret Jaegers picked up the win in relief. He allowed one earned run.

Steven Coots got the start. He had seven hits and two earned runs in four innings.

The Jays (18-3) host Rock Bridge at 5 p.m. today.

Jefferson City lost the JV game 8-7 on a walk-off hit to fall to 6-2 on the season.

Travis Burrus went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBI. Adam Grunden went 2-for-3 and Travis Hennessey went 2-for-4.
