Six former Missouri Tigers have signed or have reported they will sign free-agent contracts with teams after not being selected in the NFL draft that concluded Saturday.
T.J. Moe and Elvis Fisher will both sign deals with the New England Patriots.
• Moe, a native of O'Fallon who played at Fort Zumwalt West High School, started all 12 games at receiver for the Tigers last season, totaling 40 catches for 399 yards and one touchdown. Moe (6-foot-1, 200) was often compared to Wes Welker, a possession receiver who left New England to sign with Denver in the off-season. The Patriots also signed former Rams receiver Danny Amendola, another possession-type receiver, earlier this year.
• Fisher (6-5, 300), a native of St. Petersburg, Fla., and a team captain the last two seasons as an offensive lineman, received a hardship year from the NCAA to play last year after injuring his knee prior to the 2011 season.
• Kendial Lawrence has signed with the Dallas Cowboys at running back. Lawrence, a native of Rockwall, Texas, led the Tigers with 1,025 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns last season.
• Brad Madison, who played defensive end, will sign with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Madison (6-4, 265), a native of Bethany who played at South Harrison High School, had four sacks at defensive end last season to go along with 18 tackles in an injury-plagued season.
• Kenronte Walker, a safety, has signed with the Cleveland Browns.
Walker (6-0, 210), a native of Fayetteville, N.C., who also played at City College of San Francisco, finished fifth on the team in tackles with 71 in 12 starts last season.
• Kip Edwards, a cornerback, will join the Buffalo Bills.
Edwards (6-1, 200), from Arlington, Texas, had 46 tackles and two interceptions for the Tigers in 2012.
Two Tigers were selected in the draft - defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson , No. 13 overall by the New York Jets, and linebacker Zavier Gooden, picked with the final choice of the third round by the Tennessee Titans.
