Fatima takes pair of wins

RUSSELLVILLE - The Russellville Indians dropped to 9-5 on the season with a 7-5 loss to Fatima on Thursday.

Clayton Harrison had two hits and one RBI for the Indians, while Kaleb Libbert added two hits and Clayton Meyer had a solo home run.

Chandler Wolf took the loss, giving up all seven runs on 10 hits while striking out six in four innings.

Seth Lehmen got the win for the Comets. He gave up four runs on six hits in 51⁄3 innings. He walked two and struck out five.

Lehmen added two hits and four RBI for the winners. Reid Kesel and Nolan Bax had three hits each, while Patrick Schnieders had one hit and one RBI.

Fatima then topped Tuscumbia 8-4. Kesel picked up the win on the mound, and Sam Hager hit a tiebreaking grand slam in the sixth inning.

Fatima, which moved to 11-4 overall and 4-0 in the Show-Me Conference, will host Linn today.

Russellville (2-1 Show-Me), which played Tuscumbia in another game late Thursday, will play today at Southern Boone.
