Missouri baseball squad falls short in wild game

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri baseball team came out on the wrong end of a wild game Saturday.

Florida (22-18, 10-7 Southeastern Conference) plated a run on a wild pitch with two outs in the top of the 15th to down Missouri 4-3 on Saturday at Taylor Stadium.

Missouri (12-22, 4-13 SEC) led 3-0 after two innings thanks to a two-run homer in the first by Keaton Steele. But Florida battled back. The Gators got a run in the third and two in the seventh. The game remained tied until 15th when the Gators pulled out the win.

Dane Opel, Steele and Dillon Everett all had two hits for Missouri.

Casey Turgeon led the Gators, going 3-for-8 with three RBI.

The three-game series concludes at noon Sunday.
