Area couple killed in motorcycle-SUV crash

A Gravois Mills couple is dead after their motorcycle crossed the center line of Missouri 87 and struck a sport utility vehicle at Boulder Road in Miller County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Harley Davidson Heritage, driven northbound by Terry R. Jones, 57, Gravois Mills, crossed the center line going around a curve striking a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, driven southbound by Donna J. Medlin, 58, Springfield.

Jones and his wife, Susan A. Jones, 56, were pronounced dead at the scene by Miller County Coroner Rick Callahan.

Medlin, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to St. Mary's Health Center.

An Eldon man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:40 p.m. Sunday on Business 54-52, south of Salem Road, in Miller County.

The patrol reported a 1997 Ford F-150, driven eastbound by Philip J. Rayhart, Jr., 37, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Rayhart was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

A Linn Creek man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 8:10 p.m. Sunday on Anderson Hollow Road in Camden County.

According to the patrol report, a 1994 Ford Ranger, driven eastbound by Nicholas R. Grissom, 27, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, a fence, several trees and overturned.

Grissom was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

He was not wearing a seat belt.
