DIXON - Linn had just five hits and one run Monday night. But because of a strong pitching performance by Tony Mebruer, it was all the Wildcats needed.
Linn got a run in the first inning and knocked off Dixon 1-0.
Mebruer allowed just one hit and struck out six in the complete-game shutout.
Ryan Mantle had two hits and an RBI for Linn. Alec Shoop had a hit and scored the game's only run.
Linn (6-4) plays against today at home against South Callaway.
In Monday's JV game, Linn was a 4-0 winner against Dixon.
