Fletcher Kia is preparing a new dwelling, along Missouri Boulevard nestled in with other Jefferson City automotive dealers.

The new location has been undergoing renovations, with changes to the inside and the service shop, as well as a whole new front. With the building previously a Toyota dealer, Fletcher Kia general manager Richard Busch said the changes to the building are important to make the location a Kia store.

"Kia has certain standards and criteria they want you to meet," Busch explained.

Fletcher Kia opened up in July 2012 at the current 905 Stadium Blvd. location. The business opened in this location with a temporary mindset, knowing it would eventually move across town to 3205 Missouri Blvd. The new lot will be comparable in size, housing 200 to 250 new and used vehicles.

The Kia dealer hopes to have renovations complete by mid-April, and will move immediately thereafter. A grand opening will eventually be held to properly acclimate the business to its new home.
