The public can now get a peek at the paranormal film recently shot at the old Missouri State Penitentiary - before its release - through a fundraising drive seeking post-production costs.
The makers of "Apparitional" have made a plea for funding on indiegogo.com, a "crowdfunding" website that allows people to donate to independent film projects.
A nearly five-minute video on the website offers scenes from the film, as well as interviews with the filmmakers and with employees of the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau.
It can be found at www.indiegogo.com/projects/apparitional?c=home.
The film has been self-funded, but entering the final stages of post production, producer Andrew P. Jones is seeking funding for sound mixing, box art, music, color correction, E&O insurance. He also needs money to get an MPAA rating, which costs $3,000.
