Russellville sweeps

RUSSELLVILLE - Russellville swept a doubleheader with School of the Osage and Harrisburg on Thursday night.

The Indians topped School of the Osage 22-1 in five innings before topping Harrisburg 10-0 in six innings.

Alex Thompson picked up the win against Osage, tossing four innings and allowing no runs eight hits while striking out three. Kaleb Libbert went 2-for-2 with a 3-run homer in the second inning, Clayton Harrison went 3-for-3 with three RBI and four runs scored and Tanner Morrow went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Libbert then picked up the win against Harrisburg, tossing three innings and allowing one hit with two strikeouts. Chandler Wolf pitched the final three innings in relief and struck out eight batters.

Chase Smith went 2-for-2 with two RBI, Zach Voss went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored and Clayton Thompson went 2-for-3.

Russellville (4-1) travels Saturday to Clever to face Clever and Strafford.
