It's starting to become an annual rite of fall.
No, I'm not talking about the changing of the leaves. .... Nope, I'm referring to a fixture of the fall as much as Halloween and Thanksgiving - the outcry from Missouri fans about how they deserve a better football coach than Gary Pinkel.
The man has done an admirable job resurrecting the Tigers' program, taking them from irrelevance on a conference level to a point where sometimes they're even relevant on the national level.
However, the "What have you done for us lately?" opinion shared by many fans seems to be gaining steam again. To wit, it's the concern about how, after a loss two weeks ago at South Carolina, the Tigers are now just 3-16 against Top 10 teams with Pinkel as their coach.
Is that record great? Definitely not. Is it cause for concern? Maybe. Is it a reason to get rid of the coach? I would say no.
