St. Elizabeth tops Jefferson City in 12 innings

It was a game neither pitcher deserved to lose. That's how great Jefferson City's Katelyn Rush and St. Elizabeth's Erin Struemph were Monday night.

The scenario almost proved to be true, at least for a day, when combining the pitchers' dominance with the fact Lincoln Field doesn't have lights. A defensive miscue prevented that from happening.

St. Elizabeth was able to scratch across a run with the aid of a Jefferson City error as the Lady Hornets escaped with a 2-1 victory in 12 innings.
