While getting ready for Friday night's game against DeSmet, second-ranked Jefferson City didn't have to go back very far to find something to work on.

As the Jays prepare for Friday's battle of top-five teams in St. Louis, Friday's win against Hazelwood East has provided the team with opportunities to learn and get better before Friday's game.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
For one thing, the Jays (4-0) allowed 420 rushing yards in Friday's 41-32 victory.
Jefferson City head coach Ted LePage felt much of the trouble was related to Hazelwood East's speed and Jefferson City's defenders being just enough out of their lanes to allow the Spartans to hit on several big plays. LePage was very impressed with how well Hazelwood East ran the ball, but he also saw things his team needs to work on.
