WESTPHALIA, Mo. - To say it has been a big week for the Fatima softball team might be an understatement.
In a week where the Lady Comets went toe-to-toe with some of the area's largest and best softball programs, they capped it off in grand fashion Thursday.
Fatima rallied from a two-run deficit and defeated Jefferson City 4-3 thanks to a walkoff single by Kristen Boeckmann in the bottom of the seventh inning.
"Just all around, we're playing well as a team right now," Fatima coach Dana Scheppers said.
After beating the defending Class 1 state champion St. Elizabeth 1-0 on Monday, the Lady Comets dropped a 4-0 game to Helias on Tuesday. They completed ....
