Two-actor show is "Ancient History'

September 13th, 2012 in News

Scene One Theatre's latest offering, "Ancient History," is a comedic tragedy which takes place at a birthday party. It probes into the difficulties encountered by a couple while trying to build a meaningful relationship and leads to a monumental debate on marriage and religion. Eventually, irreconcilable differences come forth revealing a sobering truth, according to director Mark Wegman.

The David Ives play features only two cast members. Megan Wadley and Jeff Lockwood, two veterans of Scene One, play the husband and wife.

According to Wegman, it has been a challenge for the actors because they have more lines to memorize and because they must bring forth more energy and emotion since the action always centers on them.

The show's adult themes and language are intended for mature audiences.
