It's a simple, but so far winning formula, for the Hickman Kewpies. Score early, then let their defense take over.

"They want to get the lead, then be a big and tough and physical team the rest of the way and let the defense carry them to the victory," Helias coach Phil Pitts said as the Crusaders (2-1, ranked No. 2 in Class 4) and the Kewpies (3-0) get set to meet Friday night in Columbia.
