Two hurt in Jefferson City collision

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning in Jefferson City.

Police reports show officers were called to Eastland Drive at the eastbound U.S. 50 exit ramp at 10:03 a.m.

The investigation found that Linda Gotham, 69, of Jefferson City, was going south and failed to stop for a red light at the intersection.

She went into the intersection and crashed into a vehicle driven by Rita Kuttenkuler, 54, of California.

Both women were wearing seat belts, and both were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The traffic in the area was limited to one southbound lane while emergency crews were on the scene.
