Run game key tonight for Falcons, Wildcats

WARDSVILLE, Mo. - When the Blair Oaks Falcons and the Montgomery County Wildcats square off today in a Class 2 District 6 semifinal contest, there's no secret what's the key to the game.

Whichever team is able to establish its rushing attack is going to have a decided edge in how the contest turns out.

"At this time of year, when the weather turns cold, having a physical running game is a big plus," Blair Oaks coach Brad Drehle said. "You're able to control the clock, you're able to control the tempo, you're able to control a lot of things."

For the Falcons (9-1), today's 7 p.m. contest at the Falcon Athletic Complex marks the second straight week they'll be without starting quarterback Daniel Castillo. So with his arm on the sideline due to a foot injury, passing the ball won't be ....
