Guardsmen to evaluate benefits of four-day work week

The Combined Support Maintenance Shop at the Ike Skelton Training Site is among several selected Missouri National Guard sites to switch to a schedule of four 10-hour work days.

The participating Guard facilities are part of a year-long test, said Col. Wendul G. Hagler, Missouri National Guard chief of staff.

"A couple years back, management decided to look at, study and discuss the possibility of a compressed work schedule," Hagler said. "We have entered into an agreement to test a compressed work schedule."
