WARDSVILLE - Talk about your balanced team effort.
The Blair Oaks Falcons had eight different players score touchdowns Friday night while cruising to a 55-6 win over the Versailles Tigers.
Mikel Drehle was the only Falcon to score more than once, as he had a fumble return for a touchdown and a scoring catch.
Blair Oaks coach Brad Drehle said he wasn't sure if he'd had a team have that many different players score in a game before.
"That was a bunch, for sure," he said. "The ball got spread around pretty well."
You had a feeling something impressive was coming with the way Blair Oaks started the game. After the Falcons forced a three-and-out for the Tigers, Blair Oaks quarterback Daniel Castillo got a 51-yard touchdown run on the Falcons' first play from scrimmage.
