The Jefferson City Lady Jays advanced two doubles teams and one singles player out of district tennis tournament action Saturday at Washington Park.
Jefferson City's No. 1 doubles team of Eden Hoogveld and Paige Smith went 3-0 to take first, defeating the Lady Jays No. 2 duo of Claire Murphy and Kelly Raithel 6-1, 6-4 in the title match.
Kirsten Schmidt of the Lady Jays finished second in the singles competition. Schmidt and both the doubles teams advance to individual sectionals Tuesday in Springfield.
