Experience isn't exactly something the Jefferson City Jays can hang their hats on.
It's pretty much Scott Stegeman and a bunch of unproven commodities as the Jays open their season against Sedalia Smith-Cotton at 7:30 p.m. today at Fleming Fieldhouse.
"Scott's definitely the leader on this team," Jefferson City coach Blair Thompson said. "He's the most experienced, and he was our leading scorer (13.7 points per game) and rebounder (10.4) last year. Just having played in big games and had success and those types of things will help the guys that are coming in to play that haven't had that much experience."
