Entering the third straight season with a new coach, the Calvary Lutheran boys basketball team will get a chance to see how the transition has gone this time when the Lions hit the hardwood for their season tonight.

It's been a case of so far, so good for the Lions, who begin the year with a game at 4:30 p.m. today against the host school in the Eugene Tournament.

"There's really the three phases," coach Mark Buffington said. "You've got the offseason, like summer camp, then the preseason, and then the third phase is when you get into the season. We haven't hit that phase yet, obviously. ... It's a whole new ball game once the season starts."
