Pedestrian killed by suspected drunk driver

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A 26-year-old St. Louis man is dead after being struck by a suspected drunk driver while crossing the street.

Police have identified the victim as Brandon Jennings. He was crossing Manchester Avenue about 2:50 a.m. Friday when he was struck by a Honda Accord. Jennings died at the scene.

The man driving the Accord, also a 26-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Formal charges have not been filed.
