WARDSVILLE , Mo.- Halloween is long past, but the Blair Oaks football coaching staff has been watching horror films all week.

At least that's how it seems, since they've been poring over tape of the Holden Eagles all week in preparation for this afternoon's Class 2 semifinal game at Holden. (Kickoff at 1:30 p.m.)

And the star of those films who's giving the coaches sleepless nights? Running back Max Mickey.

The senior has been putting up statistical lines normally seen just in video games. The amazing numbers include a whopping 3,233 yards rushing - the best of any running back in any class in Missouri - in 13 games for an average of 248.7 per contest.

How good is that? Well, Mickey is just 37 yards behind the national leader, Derrick Henry of Yulee, Fla., who has 3,270 yards. Granted, Henry has put up his total in just 10 games, but to be No. 2 nationally is nothing to sneeze at.
