Mid-Missouri incumbents returned to state House

Rep. Jeanie Riddle, R-Mokane, checks election results Tuesday night on her computer during the Republican election watch rally in Fulton. Riddle easily defeated Democrat challerger Pam Murray of Holts Summit.

Three incumbent Republicans will be back in the Missouri House in January.

In unofficial returns, Jefferson City voters gave incumbent Jay Barnes a second two-year term. Colleague Mike Bernskoetter, R-Jefferson City, was sent back to the Capitol for a second two-year term.

More than 10,300 Callaway County voters - plus 704 Cole County voters who live just northwest of Jefferson City - sent Assistant Majority Leader Jeanie Riddle, R-Mokane, back to the House for a third term.
