Capital Region Medical Center is partnering with local restaurants to provide customers with the option of ordering meals from a diabetic menu. The program kicks off Nov. 10 at 10 restaurants around Jefferson City.

"We wanted to be proactive and give something back to the community," said Sarah Burbee, diabetes educator and a licensed and registered dietitian with Capital Region's Diabetes Management Center.

The diabetic menus will be available upon request and will provide customers with the carbohydrate counts for each dish and menu item.
