Henley man injured in pickup crash

A Henley man was hurt Saturday night when the pickup truck he was driving struck a bridge and caught on fire.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Laroya A. Wilkinson, 56, received moderate injuries in the 8:15 p.m. wreck on U.S. 54 near Route CC in Cole County. An ambulance transported him to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City for treatment.

The patrol reported the vehicle was totaled. One lane of westbound 54 was closed at the scene for almost an hour while road crews repaired damage to that part of the four-lane highway.
