The Memorial Day Weekend Salute To Veterans Corporation will celebrate ""Eternal Vigilance' Thanks to Our Armed Forces" at its 24th annual air show on Saturday and Sunday at the Columbia airport.

The event will feature an assortment of air demonstrations including planes and parachutes, along with military demonstrations and the Salute to Veterans parade on Monday.

The air show runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day at Columbia Regional Airport and will feature more than 40 vintage and active-duty military aircraft either flying or on display. All air-show festivities are free and open to the public.

Featured air demonstrations include the "Flying Eagles," a U.S. Navy Super Hornet Tac Demo team from Lemoore, Calif., which will perform a combination of high- and low-speed maneuvering, rapid rolls, performance climbs and descents. The Flying Eagles have flown combat missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
