The Cole County Sheriff's Department is investigating vehicle break-ins that were reported early Friday morning.
According to Sheriff Greg White, the six reports they took occurred at residences in areas along Rock Beacon Road and Scott Station Road.
It's believed they occurred late Thursday night or early Friday morning.
"The perpetrators apparently used a rock to break vehicle windows to gain entry," White said. "We believe juveniles were responsible."
The suspects took purses and other valuables that were left inside the vehicles, according to White.
