WEST PLAINS, Mo. - The Class 4 Sectional 3 meet couldn't have gone much better Saturday for Jefferson City.
The Lady Jays advanced 14 athletes in 14 events to the Class 4 state meet that will be held Friday and Saturday at Dwight T. Reed Stadium. The Jays advanced 12 athletes in 11 events to the state meet.
The Lady Jays won the sectional team title with 139.50 points, beating second-place Rock Bridge, which finished with 117.
The Jays took second place with 98 points, finishing behind Rock Bridge, which totaled 105 points. The Jays had one individual winner. The Jays also won the 4x400-meter relay.
Here are the top eight finishers for Jefferson City. Only the top four advance to the Class 4 state meet Friday and Saturday at Dwight T. Reed Stadium.
