Last day for Missouri Legislature's session

May 18th, 2012 in News

Today is the day of reckoning.

The state Constitution requires that, at 6 o'clock tonight, proposed laws that haven't been passed by both the House and Senate will have to wait for another legislative session.

State senators on Thursday amended a number of House bills - including three with Mid-Missouri ties - and sent them back to the House for final passage.

Sen. Kevin Engler, R-Farmington, handled a bill authorizing the Highway Patrol to sell surplus watercraft, motors and trailers it acquired when the state Water Patrol was added to the Highway Patrol's operations a couple years ago.
