Now a Lake of the Ozarks staple event, the Annual Oma Noma Heritage Festival will encompass the historic Bagnell Dam Strip on Saturday.

Oma Noma Heritage Festival is a celebration of the opening of Bagnell Dam in 1931 and some of the Lake of the Ozarks pioneers - Oma and Noma Degraffenreid. They were the first local residents to cross the now famous Bagnell Dam, and each year, the Lake of the Ozarks celebrates their brave decision.

The Oma Noma Heritage Festival includes a variety of family-friendly activities and contests including peanut spitting contest, bubble gum contest, pie-eating contest, dog show and the highly entertaining outhouse race.
