Commercial businesses included in the Meadows by the Club annexation are not happy about the proposal to come into Jefferson City.
And hoteliers already are planning court action if the annexation process continues.
At a Tuesday public hearing on the annexation proposal, Vivek Puri, of the Puri Law Firm and representative for the Hampton Inn and Comfort Suites, said the businesses would not see any benefits by coming into the city and said they were being brought in purely for added tax revenue.
