Complaints about unleashed dogs in urbanized areas have increased since the County Commission was told earlier this month about problems and damages caused by dogs in a Cole County neighborhood.
Presiding Commissioner Marc Ellinger said at a meeting Wednesday officials are trying to get county zoning, and having leash laws in more urbanized areas could be part of the solution.
