In honor of the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts, some of the city's first Girl Scouts and integral leaders of their time are hoping local, current Girl Scouts would join them for a tea to share stories and history.

To help commemorate the anniversary of an organization the women all love, they will join with Girls Scouts of the Missouri Heartland to host a tea from 1-3 p.m. on March 25 for local Girl Scouts.

Allegra Harrison did not join the Girl Scouts as a girl, but rather as an assistant helper for one of the troops when she and her family were new to town. She said she showed up and was told they only needed her help for one day, and that was long ago.
