Career exploration, applying classroom knowledge and getting plugged in to a school-based social outlet combine in the Jefferson City High School Medical Club.
"Many students think they're interested in medicine, but they have no experience," said co-sponsor Sue Ellen Beek. "This gives them a chance to get out and see a variety of things they could do."
The club holds regular meetings where local health care professionals talk about their fields.
"It's not just doctors and nurses," said president Liz Tanner.
