In the past year, 8-year-old Brycen Miller has dealt with extreme fatigue, weight loss, constant testing and even being taught to give himself the four daily injections he needs.

Later this week, the Jefferson City boy will get a break from some of the realities of being a Type 1 diabetic, as he and his family take a Dream Factory-sponsored trip to Disney World.

"He is very excited," mom Angela Miller said. "A little nervous about the plane, but he's excited."
