Bond was set Thursday at $25,000 for a Jefferson City man charged with first-degree burglary and violating an order of protection.
Police said Timothy G. Wells, 35, of 908 Broadway St., was hiding in his former wife's garage at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, and "ordered her to sit down and speak with him" when she found Wells in the garage.
But Wells was served with a full order of protection last November after he "began stalking" his former wife, police said, with child custody issues the only reason allowed for contact.
Police said the victim's father told police he also "observed Wells inside the garage as Wells was confronting" his former wife.
Prosecutors charged Wells with first-degree burglary "for the purpose of committing (a) violation of an order of protection."
