I would like to address the subject on "being gay" in response to a letter from Kephen Merancis.
The truth of any issue does not change because people choose to disagree with truth. Every person has the choice to seek out the truth and accept it or reject it.
Even though Kephen states he does not believe in a god doesn't mean that God doesn't exist.
As a Christian who believes that the Holy Bible is God's inspired living Word, I must be willing to speak the truth even if no one listens. It is what God calls us to do, and if we are obedient to do our part, the rest is up to Him.
There are many things that God calls sin, and the entire human race is guilty. It is in Christ alone that we can receive salvation and freedom from the bondage of sin and truly live the life we were created to live.
I would urge Kephen and everyone to read Romans 1:18-32. This section of Scripture explains unbelief and its consequences. Homosexuality is addressed in these verses as well as other sins which are a result of turning away from and rejecting the truth of God.
If we look at the downward spiral of our nation in light of this warning, we would be wise to lay down our arguments and excuses for kicking against the truth.
God will not be mocked and He will not bless where there is covered sin or open rebellion. It is time for the Church to fall on our knees and pray for God to forgive us and heal our nation.
It is time for God's people to speak the truth in love to those like Kephen who open the door and give opportunity for the Holy Spirit to move if we will do our part.
