Mo. education officials to test new evaluations

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri education officials will be testing a new teacher evaluation system in the upcoming school year.

The State Board of Education approved the pilot project during a meeting this week in Jefferson City.

School districts throughout Missouri can participate in the project by registering online. Training sessions will be offered this upcoming fall to all school districts.

The new evaluation system will be adjusted based upon the test run, and the revised system will be available to all school districts starting with the 2013-2014 school year.
