JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - A newly created Missouri House committee will spend the summer reviewing government bidding and contracting.
House Speaker Steven Tilley, a Republican from Perryville, says the interim committee will examine current standards and practices. Tilley says government contracts affect public funds, and officials need to be sure the state gets good value.
House Republican Sue Allen, of Town and Country, will chair the 12-member panel.
