After 17 years in business, a Jefferson City restaurant closed their doors, Tuesday night.
Officials with the company that owns Ryan's Steakhouse, 730 West Stadium Boulevard, said they closed the restaurant following a review of their underperforming locations.
There were two managers and 41 hourly employees who worked at the restaurant.
One manager was offered a transfer to another location and other employees are being encouraged to apply for open positions at other locations that are operated by Ryan's parent company, Buffets, Inc. out of Eagan, MN.
The company does not own the building, it was a leased location.
Company officials also said they have no plans to re-open the restaurant.
