"Awe-inspiring, exhilarating, exhausting, scary" - that's how the Rev. Cassandra Gould described her emotions Saturday to full pews at Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church's ground-breaking worship service in Jefferson City.

After a nearly five-year process, the congregation will relocate from 529 Lafayette Street one block north to the corner of Miller and Lafayette streets.

The move is the result of the Missouri Department of Transportation requiring their present location for right-of-way on the eventual Lafayette Street interchange with Whitton Expressway.
