Passing motorists couldn't help but give the antique hand-drawn hose cart a close look, as Rick Blank, at right, does. The Cole County Historical Society revealed an ornament celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Jefferson City Fire Department. The department had apparatus parked on High Street marking the progression of equipment.
An ornament to mark the 100th anniversary of full-time fire service in Jefferson City is now being sold.
Samuel's Tuxedo on High Street has partnered with the Cole County Historical Society to sell the ornaments.
The ornaments cost $20; proceeds go to the historical society.
