Commission anticipates decision on new warning sirens

Cole County commissioners hope that later this week they'll be able to determine how much they can afford to spend to place new warning sirens in the county.

In March, the Jefferson City Council chose Meyer Electric from six venders who submitted bids to install 12 new digital sirens in the city for $300,000.

At their meeting last week, commissioners were told that two of the sirens would be in areas near the city/county border.
