Their week-long "Water Boot Camp" ended Friday afternoon with a ceremony marking the completion of their water education.
Bernadette Williams of Memphis, Tenn., who graduated from high school this year, came to Lincoln University for the week because she "wanted to learn more about environmental science. I also wanted to learn more about water."
"They are a good group of students with a pretty strong science background," LU Professor Frieda Eivazi said during Friday morning's tour of Missouri American Water Co.'s Jefferson City water plant.
