The deadline for the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year and Exceptional Employee nominations is Aug. 10.
Candidates for the small-business award must be members of the chamber, employ 50 or fewer people full-time and be in operation for at least two years.
Exceptional employee nominees must be employed by a chamber member and be an employee other than owner or partner in the company.
