Judge orders shock prison time for robber

Cole County Judge Jon Beetem recently sentenced a Jefferson City man to 120 days of shock incarceration after pleading guilty to an amended charge in connection with a February robbery.

Thomas Lewis, 26, 1000 Buena Vista, pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree robbery. He had been charged with first-degree robbery.

Lewis went to the Radio Shack on Missouri Boulevard wearing a mask and hood.

He grabbed a woman, later identified as his girlfriend, around the neck from behind, holding a knife to her side and demanding the clerk give him all the money in the store.
